This is a questionable question to all of us sometimes. Yet, as for me I am my best friend in the world beside my parents. Except my mom, all the things I will tell myself. So I would love to say that knowing myself very well!
I suppose the real you is who and what you are most comfortable with being by yourself, without the opinion of people around you, be it your parents, friends, or lovers.
