灯谜是中国元宵节或中秋节写在灯笼上的谜语。
People in the festival must guess the answer from a word , a poem or a phrase, guessing the riddles are as hard as fighting with a tiger, so that lantern riddles have another name - 'lantern tigers'.
人们必须从一个字、一首诗或是一个短语猜出答案。猜灯谜和打老虎一样难，所以灯谜有一个别名——灯虎。
Some example of Lantern Riddles：
谜面：不练功夫猜灯谜（猜一《水浒传》典故）【四字】
谜底：武松打虎
解析：功夫需日日练，时时练，方能武艺超群。但如有一日”不练功夫“之后，武艺便”稀松平常“了。由上文所知，灯谜又叫”灯虎“，猜灯谜在古时又叫”射虎“。因此”武松打虎“由此而来。
