I saw a lot of articles posted here to help people learning English. that's great, but i had some different thoughts.
English is not a subject. from my point of view, it is a tool to help you to communicate with others. So...the most important thing of communication is UNDERSTANDING. if people can understand you, no matter how bad is your gramma, as long as you make them understand you (body language, emotions, draw on the paper), you got your point. and I think that's the purpose to learn English----understanding.
for me,try to remember all the sentences is useless, because you might never use them in your life. all you need to do is increase your vocabulary so you can understand other people then talk to them. feel shy? it's not your concern, if he comes from an English speaking contries and he could not understand you, he should feel sorry not you
