tough [tʌf] adj.坚韧的；健壮的；强硬的
"Life is tough, but I'm tougher." 这是囧仔以前的itouch背面刻的字。很可惜的是……这个itouch在公车上被偷了TAT

形容人坚强，意志坚定。能够忍受困难。

2. If you describe someone as tough, you mean that they are rough and violent.
也形容人粗暴。
He had shot three people dead earning himself a reputation as a tough guy.
3. A tough task or problem is difficult to do or solve.
任务的tough指难解决。
It was a very tough decision but we feel we made the right one...

charming [ˈtʃɑː(r)miŋ] adj.迷人的；妩媚的；娇艳的；好极了的

adj.
1. If you say that something is charming, you mean that it is very pleasant or attractive.
形容物，表示有吸引力的
...a charming little fishing village.
2. If you describe someone as charming, you mean they behave in a friendly, pleasant way that makes people like them.
charming形容人，表示人的举止很友善，让别人很喜欢他们。
...a charming young man...
3. A woman's Prince Charming is a man who seems to her to be a perfect lover or boyfriend, because he is attractive, kind, and considerate.
白马王子。女生心目中的完美男朋友。兼顾外表，友善，体贴。

【岚君小碎碎念：岚君用的这个释义词典说的其实不是很明确，但charming其实算是一个比较强烈的形容词了，韦伯斯特给它定义的时候前面加了很强烈的副词。而且岚君自己使用的时候，也是觉得这个词是表示非常喜欢的含义的（好吧，其实只形容过某个腐国男演员在去年一个电影里面的角色而已）。所以妹纸们用这个词的时候要斟酌一下哦~（当然，每个人对这个词的理解还是可能不同的。）】

这是神马歌啊……动词打次动词打次……好吧，我已经被洗脑了。
compromise
v.
1. A compromise is a situation in which people accept something slightly different from what they really want, because of circumstances or because they are considering the wishes of other people.
compromise指因为考虑到别人而接受与本人原本期待的不一样的东西。
Encourage your child to reach a compromise between what he wants and what you want...
2. If you compromise with someone, you reach an agreement with them in which you both give up something that you originally wanted. You can also say that two people or groups compromise.
compromise with表示你和某人打成协议，你们都放弃原本所想要的。
The government has compromised with its critics over monetary policies...

咳咳。这个名词的形式比较难造句，于是咱们还是研究它的形容词吧。
adj.
If you are reluctant to do something, you are unwilling to do it and hesitate before doing it, or do it slowly and without enthusiasm.
reluctant表示你不愿意做某事，或者做的很慢，没有热情。

fancy [‘fænsi] n.想象力；设想；爱好
真心想说，在自己的结婚典礼上弄一个这样的结婚蛋糕，还确实得需要一些勇气啊！
fancy
v.
1. If you fancy something, you want to have it or to do it. (mainly BRIT INFORMAL)
表示愿意做某件事。（主要是英式不正式用法）
What do you fancy doing, anyway?...
2. If you fancy yourself as a particular kind of person or fancy yourself doing a particular thing, you like the idea of being that kind of person or doing that thing.
fancy oneself as表示你希望自己成为某类的人，形容他人时，表示别人觉得那种品质是值得称道的。
So you fancy yourself as the boss someday?...
3. A fancy is a liking or desire for someone or something, especially one that does not last long.
fancy作为名词表示一种喜好，通常不太持久。
She did not suspect that his interest was just a passing fancy.

dumb [dʌm] adj.哑的, 愚蠢的, 不能说话的 vt.使沉默

dumb

表示完全不能说话的人。

2. If you call a person dumb, you mean that they are stupid or foolish. (INFORMAL)
形容人愚蠢。
