电视动画《信长之熗》改编自日本漫画家久正人老师作画的同名漫画，讲述的是“E遗传子持有者”们将织田信长的灵魂变为武器，与进化的侵略者们进行战斗的故事。

为纪念漫画家久正人出道10周年，在《月刊COMIC EARTH STAR》6月号中刊登了相关访谈，同时还宣布了久正人老师在该杂志中连载的漫画《信长之熗》动画化企划进行中的消息。电视动画将于2014年1月5日开始播放。

信长之熗全集动画故事发生在2013年，因为修学旅行而来到台湾的女子高生小椋しお，遭到了突然出现的怪兽“进化侵略体”的袭击。在军队完全没用的时候，谜之男子们出现在面前，他们是超国家机关“DOGOO”的代理人，继承了“伟人之魂”，并将这股力量用之战斗的“E遗传子持有者”。终于，在友人面临危机之际，小椋しお身上的“伟人之魂”也得到觉醒
