一般来说，我们大多数人都会用“ice cream”来统称“雪糕、冰激凌和冰淇淋”
ice cream单复数同形。不过，在特定的语境中，如果要指不同种类或不同系列的冰淇淋的话，我们可以使用ice creams.

冰淇淋球”的说法，就是“ice cream ball”,
但点单时，若想要好几个冰淇淋球的话，可千万不要用ball！
比如说你点三个冰淇淋球，正确的说法是"I want three scoops of ice cream"，
这里的scoop[skuːp]就是冰淇淋勺。
He thought I was exaggerating when I told him I ate five scoops of ice cream.

在英语中，“冰棍”有两种说法，
第一种是ice lolly，lolly['lɒlɪ]既可以指棒棒糖，也可以指冰棒。
第二种是popsicle['pɑpsɪkl]，专指冰棍和冰棒，而且该词还出现在了电影《疯狂动物城》中。

一般用“ice cream cone”来表示“冰淇淋甜筒”，cone[kəʊn]一词本意是“圆锥”

我们一般用“Sundae['sʌndeɪ; -dɪ]”来表示圣代，可以看出是音译过来的名字。
